Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As you’ve likely heard, the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a health concern that is both evolving and being closely monitored by many organizations across the world. In fact, on March 11th 2020, the WHO officially declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic.

At the level of the school district, we’re working alongside Fraser Health, the BC Centre of Disease Control and the Office of the Provincial Health Officer to both stay informed and to take direction from them on the issue.

We are currently asking all students to wear a mask inside our school, and in class. We have also split our classes into 2 groups, so that we only have half the class in at one time. This way we have students at least 2 metres apart during class. This means one day half the students will be in class, and the other half will be joining the class virtually online, and for the second day students will alternate.

Please be sure to follow the Provincial Health Officer’s request that all those traveling outside of Canada remain at home and not attend school or work for 14 days following their return to Canada.
