Wednesday, January 15th – The School is Closed
All New Westminster schools, including Pearson Adult Learning Centre, are closed today as a result of severe weather conditions.
Weather alerts issued at 5:05 a.m. today noted snowfall of 10 to 15 centimetres are expected in New Westminster.
Superintendent Karim Hachlaf noted that student safety is a priority. “Given the poor road conditions, please do not attempt to travel – and be safe!” he said.
All Lower Mainland schools have been reported closed this morning.
Environment Canada reports that rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.
