Are you looking to improve your English language skills?
Need to do some academic upgrading?
Looking to complete your high school graduation in a safe and supportive environment?

At New Westminster Schools we’re proud to offer FREE* Adult Learning classes to help support the diverse needs of our diverse community!
*Fees may apply for International Students

Through the Pearson Adult Learning Centre team, we offer a wide range of learning options – from free foundational English classes through to all those math and science classes you might need to upgrade. And we pride ourselves on making it easy. Our administrative team can walk you through your graduation planning needs, our friendly teachers create supportive learning environments for all students, and our students, well they are often the best references we have … often telling others how they have felt supported and successful as they work through our classes and move on to new and exciting opportunities.

Here are some highlights of what we offer:

  • We work with learners who are 16 and older, to help them learn in supportive, in-person environments.
  • All classes are held at our brand new high school: New Westminster Secondary School (820 6th Street, New Westminster).
  • Most courses and most students are funded by the BC Ministry of Education, meaning our courses are free to almost everyone
(with the exception of International Students who may be required to pay the $1,175 International Student Fee).
Important learning note for 2022: All our classes are offered under the same rules and protocols that are keeping all New Westminster Schools spaces as safe as possible. All COVID-19 related rules, including masking requirements for all students, efforts to distance where possible, etc, will be enforced.
